What pisses me off the most is how terrible of a strategy this is for literally everyone. The contempt and insensitivity they’ve shown towards us has probably turned off many voters permanently. If the Dems think corporate donations will somehow make up for it, they have completely lost the plot. Biden came into office claiming to value global democracy, but he’s demonstrated that “global democracy” still just means American imperialism.

Biden won’t just have the blood of a million Palestinian children on his hands, but the blood of children from every corner of the globe. A fascist US has no silver lining for anybody. It’s bad for capitalists, tankie accelerationists, and the fascists themselves. Our economy and our military are a threat to all life on earth. A lot of people will die thanks to this liberal cowardice.

I’m impressed it stayed together that long. Unfortunately, most people get a partner and settle down, which sucks if you don’t. You can’t stop them from entering that new phase, which is painful if it means you no longer have a place in their lives.

Finding new people your age sucks because most people who have focused their attention on family and jobs. The one bit of solace you can take is that most people become less happy when they have kids and work more.

Perhaps, but it probably doesn’t matter at this point. For whatever reason, they’re drifting away and you don’t know how to stop it. Blaming yourself doesn’t help if you don’t know what you even did wrong. Guessing wouldn’t be helpful, as your guess could be incorrect and create even more problems from you trying to solve it. Unless it’s something you can change, beating yourself up about something isn’t helpful.

This has always been the case. Unfortunately for them, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to win at modern warfare. As a result of their exploitation creeping into their backyard, they’ve needed to empower fascists to beat back socialism.

Unfortunately for everyone, fascists are violent and uncontrollable, virtually guaranteeing that they’ll end up fighting each other. Unlike in the past, violent power grabs against powerful empires cannot work. As the power levels of everyone increase, defense becomes less of an option in a violent confrontation.

When empires go to war with modern tech, the entire system, from the states the economy, are put in apocalyptic danger. Even without nukes, conventional weapons killed tens of millions with the last great war. In less than 3 decades of technological advancement and globalization, military deaths more than doubled while civilian deaths quintupled. With our current system, the economic disruption will kill hundreds of millions who never see the front line.

No amount of wealth can fully shield you from global collapse. Even the assholes who moved to New Zealand aren’t going to be having a good time. They cannot appreciate the scale of their fuck up. Even those who remain on top will live in constant danger.

Rotate the compass 45° clockwise, name the new vertical axis to state economy vs private economy, and name the new horizontal axis to left and right. At the far left(green) you have total destruction of hierarchy and flattening of power inequality, while at the far right(blue) you have absolute hierarchy and centralized power.

State centralized economies(red) lead to increased hierarchy by empowering government officials to become powerful lords. Privatized economies(purple/yellow) lead to increased hierarchy by empowering capitalists to become powerful lords. Trying to reach either the top or bottom tip of the diamond leads you the right tip.

Horseshoe theory kind of applies to Marxist-Leninists like its pro-capitalists creators imagined, but they didn’t realize that they were the other end of the horseshoe. This is because both capitalism and the state are the dangers. The problem with both stems from allowing the unrestricted accumulation of power.

Government officials use political capital, while capitalists use economic capital. They can feed off of each other, with the rich helping politicians and the politicians helping the rich. My preferred solution to both is to redistribute capital from the rich directly to the poor, growing the middle class by putting a ceiling and floor on the rich and the poor.
