Hard to stomach: after fossil fuel companies made HUGE profits from destabilising the planet, while undermining science, deceiving the public, lobbying politics, delaying renewables, and taking no responsibility for the damages caused, some are now being given more money for ending this criminal pollution. There's a green light now for paying LEAG, one of the giants in German coal, more than half a billion for "revenue lost" if they would have been "profitable" for longer than the law allows. 😲

The situation with the hunger strikers in downtown Berlin is extremely critical. Two have announced they will also stop drinking today. They demand a statement from the chancellor.

I call on the hunger strikers:
End your strategy of self-destruction. It will not advance the cause or lead to desirable outcomes. Your life is not worth a statement by Scholz.
