I’m not aware she tampered with evidence. What she did - having her own private email server at the time, and getting some low-level secret info on it - was legal at the time. The Republicans had dozens of hearings on the subject, but could never find wrongdoing. Was it not great behavior? Yes. Illegal? No. Kinda hard to get a cover-up charge on something that’s not a crime.
That being said, if she did do something wrong, I’m fine with her going to the hoosegow. Democrats don’t venerate their politicians like Republicans.

Well, OK. Firefish sounded good, but if there’s an IP clash (until at least 2032 by my search) then maybe they need something else like FireGuppy or something.
I’m not a big fan of “IceShrimp” to get my friends into the social media platform. Let’s throw around a bunch of ideas for [Random-cool-word1] + [Random-cool-word-2] and see what we can come up with.
Also, this drama seems overblown. Take a breath, people!
Calckey sounds like some sort of spreadsheet software, not social media. It does not sound fun and lively, and is a poor name for a social networking software, imho.
Well, it is Wonkette. I only go there if I want leftward politics with a couple of heaping scoops of pure snark. They make no attempt to hide their bias, and that’s OK.
OK, that’s some cool branding, and some cooler features. I love how the OSS community social media services are building off of each other, and improving.
America’s system of voting “first past the post” ensures that one of the top two candidates will win. It pretty much guarantees a two-party system will win.
So, the strategy would be:
Try to get an alternative voting system like “Ranked Choice Voting” in place. This has been done successfully in Maine and Alaska, I think. We need more of it. [Yes, I know Ranked Choice is not perfect, but it’s definitely better than we have.]
Until then, your best vote (mathematically) is to vote for one of the top two candidates that is closest to what you want. Yes, you’ll have to hold your nose a few times to vote for the “least worst” of the two, but honestly, it’s better than the alternative, of having the “worst worst” of the two.

“Right-wing (blank)” is almost always a failure. Like the “right wing dating sites” that are mostly sausage fests looking for brood mares, from what I’ve heard. LOL
Can we please replicate Gretchen Whitmer in about 3 or 4 other midwestern states? The way she turned Michigan around to progressive, smart legislation from what it was like 10 years ago was nothing short of miraculous.
What helped her was a political realignment due to the Dobb’s decision. Now seeing the Republicans going full anti-women’s-healthcare in 2023 - so 2024 may be Democrats’ best chance in a long time.
