answerThe Thunder Rolls by Garth Brooks Every light is burnin’ in a house across town She’s pacin’ by the telephone in her faded flannel gown Askin’ for a miracle, hopin’ she’s not right Prayin’ it’s the weather that’s kept him out all night And the thunder rolls
answerI Write The Songs by Barry Manilow I write the songs that make the whole world sing I write the songs of love and special things I write the songs that make the young girls cry I write the songs, I write the songs
Correct! Since I’m new at this, could you name one or both of the first popular singers (when I said artist that’s what I meant). I will post the title with the premiere or secondary famous singer when you name them or enough time passes.
Sadly no. As George would say: “The tapestry of events is often woven with threads unseen. While I stand as the figurehead, there are others who move the loom. It is to one such individual, a pillar of unwavering support, that credit, or perhaps blame, for this particular thread might be attributed.”
As is, once a post is solved it’s revealed in the name, but this means you can’t then try to guess already solved posts - only new ones. If we reveal the answer in a spoiler in the post body instead, the sub’s historical posts will remain playable for new players to practice.
How about a “solutions” post containing all solutions as one comment each. This way the host of the song question could post the solution and perhaps a bit of trivia about the song. A simple title change to [Solved] and a permalink to the solution content in the solution.
Somewhere in the middle of those ideas. Perhaps a weekly solutions thread. The idea is the solution isn’t just a spoiler and we don’t even need to look directly into the thread just a permalink from the song post to the solution comment. Come to think of it, I was just assuming there is a permalink to comment feature like on that previous site that shall not be named.
Something like this But picture the topic and the thread is solutions for this week. I found my comment permalink by brute force, it’d be nice to have that available. I’ll have to look at the source.
