I'm a programmer (mostly Python) working at Truth Initiative helping people leave nicotine. Sometimes I do a few other things with my family. I'm bpeebles many other places but not all.

Had a great time at and a bit sad I need to leave before the very end. The algorithmic embroidery poster display was very neat. 🪡

I have no idea if this is at all an interesting Open Spaces topic but I love the idea of "tattoos + Python" or whatever ... let me noodle on this more ....

@Lorenanicole 100% feels like a thing that should be a thing. Don't have much more insight than that right now.

I don't remember 100% why I started using Chrome as my default browser (maybe Android? maybe some account thing?). But I decided this week to try to switch back to Firefox as default. And it's great. Multi-account containers are amazing. It's both slower and faster than Chrome, on Linux, so about a wash there.

Helping a dev edit some commits, I realized:
git rebase -i main is often recommended because it's powerful, but git reset main is easier to understand.
rebase feels like moving sideways with lots of options.
reset is undo: go back to when I had just edited the files, then I can move forward again with add and commit.

@nedbat very true. I use reset if I only want to end up with one or two commits after cleaning up. And rebase -i if I have more and want to keep them distinct.
