As the flyer says, with the recent electricity price increases, it may be time to time to think about a battery to complement your solar system. We have rooftop solar that has contributed less to our bill over the last few years as the feed-in tariffs have decreased. Was wondering if anyone has gone ahead with a battery...
Obviously not that great in comparison, but I’ve managed to keep running 3 times a week since September last year. I’m pretty happy with this I’ve gotta say. Started running for weight loss and heart health. Haven’t lost any weight - I’m still ~120kg post COVID - but my heart health has improved a lot....
Sophie Wilcox was in my sister’s class at school. She got very carried away with her childhood stardom, but fair enough, she would have been 11 or 12 or something.
Hey man. Coupling and parenting is tough, believe me I know. Among other things the constant tiredness is really something that makes relationships hard, communication becomes really hard and misunderstandings, assumptions, and unfortunately resentment can build pretty quickly and easily. We’ve been going to counselling for about 18 months this time around, had a break before that and before that about another year with a different therapist. Seems like we are in similar boats as I was requesting it for a fair while before my partner agreed. If I can give you some advice for the counselling…try to go in with a completely open mind, as in don’t assume you know everything about the feelings involved, situational history etc. I had to come to terms with some stuff about myself pretty quickly that I didn’t even realise I did/do… If you both go in ready to work on things, ready to understand the others viewpoint, ready to be honest…that’s the best you can do. The people you were are likely still there, the things you love about your partner are likely still there, just that they’re being hammered by responsibilities that no one knows the full extent of before having kids. I hope things improve for you, and you and your partner can have some real understanding and compassion for each other.
Dead Man is my favourite film, and my favourite Billy Bob Thornton line - By God, I’m hit. Lord have mercy. Burns like hellfire. You son of a bitch. I’m gonna have to kill somebody now.
But why…? What’s the benefit of having a wifi connected washer? So you can put the load through again from bed when you realise you forgot to hang it out?.. Wouldn’t you still have to add detergent…I don’t understand
Woke up with a headache this morning, so getting out was a struggle. Glad I did though, as always. Managed 10km (53min), by not turning home just yet a couple of times. Doggo got into the rhythm too which helped.
Yeah, pretty common. I’ve a lot of injuries from previous work as a climbing arborist, neck, back, shoulder etc. I have a great bed and pillow set up, but if I sleep slightly wrong I get headaches. Going for a run settles everything down though and they go away. Just hard to remember that when lying in bed prior to.
Fellow northerners, has ShotKickers closed down? Supposed to be open tonight, and black curtains on windows, and signage seems to have gone… website has gigs listed as per normal?
Edit - it’s okay.everyone, they must have just opened late
Can confirm. The drive north from Adelaide is just amazing. I pulled over one night off the highway, drove about 1km west along very flat easy ground and camped for the night. The stars were just unbelievable.
