Where I directly point out a clock running? Nyet!

Via context clues? Da!

#TCotWS The first encounter with the creature is during early evening , later-later Parthia/Ta'regi finds it's empty nesting spot around early afternoon and a scent trail. She is setupon by a mental breakdown as eveing approaches and the scent is growing fresher the closer she gets to town.

My sympathy and support for my fellow trauma survivors that have had to deal with breaks downs at damn inconvenient times.

Draw a deep breath then draw the characters words upon the page.
Even if I come back and rearrange the opening brush strokes, I nearly always starts with somebody's words.

My brain writes when it writes.
When it says !TYPE!, my fingers float like butterflies and sting like vivid emotions... because that's where I write from most times.
When it says 'Not now.' I don't force it because like with batteries for electrictonic, you don't over draw the current capacity unless you want shit to break.

#PennedPossibilities 330 — How does your MC go about expressing or not expressing their sexuality?

Parthia, well she's as subtle as thunder is quiet. If she likes you she'll just outright say it. She has a pretty steady interest/comfort progression of cuddles > naps > sex. If she never gives someone the permission to drop in for random naps, it's really unlikely she'll pursue sex with them.
Her habit of being mostly naked when the weather is warm interestingly has nada to do with her sexuality. She just didn't wear much much for clothes if she didn't need them to stay warm.
She did once put the fear of "death by snu-snu" into Pintac, who up to that point thought "death by snu-snu" was just a cheesy joke his dad liked to tell. He was in the 'naps are ok' stage, when he accidentally found out lightly brushing her shoulders and neck is a bit like throwing all breakers at a power station to ON

Pintac, he's pretty casual, and not overt. He can be goofy-smooth some times. He's the type that if he's interested in you, and you said "I'm trash." he'd reply "I drive a garbage truck, what time should I pick you up?"

If we're being coy and really mean "two people fucking" then I don't.

Forest & cold winds coming off a mountain.
Both Parthia and Pintac grew up in similar locations.

Roasting pig will always reminder Parthia of the Autumn celebrations since the village will roast a pig or two and everyone eats dinner together that night.

Parthia/Ta'regi experienced a sensation that felt akin to 'awakening after a heavy slumber' when the ritual happened and then spends the rest of TCotWS off/on wrestling with an existential paradox of always having existed and never having existed as she does.

Pintac, he doesn't initiate a lot of conversations, but prod him with a question and he's a friendly fern.

SC:
Gavin, pretty good and relatable in casual settings. Formal settings he's S-tier schmoozer.
Liv doesn't have a hard time connecting, she just keeps to small circles, and haunting archives + libraries

Not often really. It's a part of nature so Parthia and Pintac pay due respects to that part of the cycle, but don't/didn't have any extensive thoughts or concerns about it on the regular.

That isn't to say unexpected deaths aren't stressful. 😔

My story is an unfortunately common occurrence. Without the backdrop of SciFi or fantasy, the reality of such a story tends to be just depressing rather than interesting

Tittle: "Entropy & Wytches"

It'd be 50% guide for the Wytch-Fork universe,
50% explaining my processes,
100% info dumping.
Every other chapter would be titled
"This just how I do things. Find what works for you!"
or
"Careful about following me, I once drove an hour out the way to get home because my brain was world building."
or
"The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and Newton's Laws of Motion frequently influence my though process. And yes this is a long title for a chapter."

And I'd be hella selfconscious about the language I used.
There wouldn't be "This is how you do things.", rather "Here's where I ended up, I will now show you the zig-zag of coffee stops involved as I drove across town to get there."
