chloyster,

I'm sure there is going to be a cheaper one later. With this being called the pro and all, but wow.... Lol....

I like VR. But it is still so niche. And a $3500 machine for a niche product in this economy is definitely a decision. Only thing I can think is they want the crazy early adopters onboard first to make some stuff for it, then when a cheaper one comes down the line it'll be more robust...

But yeah... Wow.....

chloyster,

I've been really enjoying beehaw so I definitely don't see myself leaving. However if reddit goes back on these changes I'll be happy just for my reddit widget if nothing else. Having a quick feed of gaming news on my phone home screen is something I've been so used to having. If the changes keep going I'll probably look into setting up some kind of widget with an rss feed or something.... Or make my own reddit widget with my own API key

chloyster,

I'm doing pretty great. Spent all weekend volunteering at pride events and meeting lots of amazing people. Been having fun hanging around beehaw too so that's been a positive as well 😊

chloyster,

I would have been shocked if they weren't. The remakes have all been amazing (even 3 despite the cut content, was still good). 4 remake is in my top 5 all time now I think. Keep them coming please!

chloyster,

I absolutely love working from home. Started in office but went and have stayed full time remote when covid hit. I eat so much healthier now, as I often wouldn't want to meal prep and would just get something near the office for lunch. I'm able to be home when packages arrive and don't have to worry about them getting nabbed. I can get chores done.

Plus not having to be around a bunch of people made my transition so much easier and comfortable. Being able to do it on my own terms without thinking about what others may think about me was very nice and put my mind at ease a ton

chloyster,

I was always going to play this. But the recent trailer really did work to get me hyped. Can't wait 🙏

Anyone else car-free?

I'm coming up on about 6 months of car-free life in Seattle. It's certainly been challenging at times, and it's only possible at all because I work from home, but I'm making it work. I'm curious if anyone else is trying to do the same thing. There are a ton of anti-car communities online, but very few people seem to actually go...

chloyster,

I’ve been car free since my catalytic converter got stolen in 2020. Didn’t feel like replacing it since I didn’t drive much anyway and I donated the rest of the car. I’m not fully free though because my gf has a car and we live together. So on trips to the store and stuff I still benefit from a car

chloyster,

I've started listening to wheel of time! I'm digging it so far. I finished the first book a week ago and am a few chapters into the second

chloyster,

Yeah I'll admit it starts pretty slow. And the first book doesn't have anything too too special for most of it, but towards the end it really picked up and I'm invested now. It helps because I try and do ~hour walk daily so I just listen then. Easy to get through at a decent pace

chloyster,

The Michael Kramer and Kate Reading ones!

I had just finished listening to all currently released cosmere stuff and I thought wheel of time was a logical next step with the audio book readers and with Brandon Sanderson writing the last few 🙏

chloyster,

Absolutely! I'll keep y'all updated 🙏

I've heard the middle few books can be kind of rough, but overall I'm super excited to listen to the rest!

chloyster,

Oooh good to know. That's nice to hear. I wasn't ever really worried about it tbh since I listen at a pretty regular 1-2 hours a day on walks. But some of my friends who have read it really played up how rough the middle ones were lol

chloyster,

I love the idea of them and can see myself getting one eventually. Just too expensive at the moment for me. The thought of ds emulation on it though is pretty appealing ngl

chloyster, (edited )

Fiiiiinally starting to get a little bit burnt out on totk so I am currently pretty into rain world and Spelunky 2! Both great but brutally hard games. Been having a ton of fun with them.

Also been playing opus magnum on and off which has been very fun

chloyster,

Perhaps not a sleeper, but signalis is outstanding if you're into old school horror games

chloyster,

Hello everyone! It's great to be here. I'm a 26 yo trans woman just look for a cool to place to hang and read stuff since reddit seems to be going a poor way. Here's to Lemmy and beehaw! 🤗

chloyster,

Thank you!!! 🤗

chloyster,

The biggest problem with charging is if you're not using a Tesla, you need like 100 different apps from different companies that all have a handful of chargers. Some are annoying too and require you to make a $10 deposit even if the charger itself is free
