Is this logic flawed? Obviously in swing races, vote how it’s needed, but if it’s probably going to be a landslide, why not vote for a third party? Some regions even allow for multiple party representation if enough people show interest, so it could be doing future good (if you think more parties is better representation)
But is there any path for that to actually happen? In the US multiple recent presidential elections the popular vote didn’t align with the electoral college, and I haven’t heard of any actual movement towards changing that
Why would supporting Biden be showing more of signal than voting for someone else? If I’m in a state that is going to be for Trump since it’s been Republican for every election since the party’s inception, what is the benefit in sending the message I voted for Biden vs John Doe in the gray party?
One of America’s biggest retail chains has announced it will stop selling DVD and Blu-ray discs in-store by 2025. Target, which sells everything from daily groceries to clothes and electronics, has confirmed rumours that it will sell DVDs, Blu-rays and 4K Blu-rays only at specified times of the year as well, as stocking...
IMO garage sales and thrift stores will get you most of what you want. You’ll find stuff like the entire series of the Office for $2 per season or all the Starwars movies for $10 or some classic Western for $1. Cheaper than streaming and it’s yours. Pay cash and help your local economy out. And if you want some new, then spend the $30 for it or rent it from the library (most city libraries will have a large DVD, CD and audio book collection)
Listening to a recent episode of the Solarpunk Presents podcast reminded me the importance of consistently calling out cryptocurrency as a wasteful scam. The podcast hosts fail to do that, and because bad actors will continue to try to push crypto, we must condemn it with equal persistence....
Yeah I don’t get why solar punks hate on crypto? Do they like the wastefulness of fiat? Do they understand how much non renewables are used to process a single credit card payment? Or do they have a better form of money?
Crypto could be solar punk, just requires people to use… Solar power… Or am I missing something?
[Request] If you don't live in a swing region/state, better to vote third party than waste your vote on an almost certain outcome. Yeah?

Later generations will have less attachment to how things were when they grew up because everything changes a lot faster.
Or at the very least less common attachment because they grew up outside of a monoculture.
Reminder: crypto isn’t solarpunk. It’s cyberpunk.
