I’ve been through too many exodus, this post hits hard and true. Been using the net since 95 and have been a community refuge too many times. I’m really hoping federation takes off because I’m tired of rebuilding. Not sure I’ll try again if this doesn’t pan out.

I’ve been running the Joplin server for over a year with clients on four laptops and three phones and share notes with my wife and its wonderful. There are certainly quirks and sometimes sync issues but by and large I’m really happy with it. There seems to be one cluster of notes I have that always irritates a fresh client sync and it shows up at 50 conflicts but I work through it. Also my notebooks are huge and the first sync can take an hour. It’s a lot slower than I’d expect.

I had a guy in a pickup drive right into my 8ft long trailer when I as stopped at a light. He pulled up to me while I was stopped fine, but then he couldn’t see my trailer and 30 seconds later started rolling forward while the light was still red and hit it. I was very annoyed and when I talked to him he said he forgot it was there and couldn’t see it. I was speechless.

I worked for Sylvania about 15-20 years ago as they were swirling the drain and trying to adapt to LED lighting. Lots of cool old equipment and facilities but it felt like whoever was steering the ship (Osram) was asleep at the wheel. The way the company handled the next 15 years proved that was true.

It’s not just the hat. It’s posing in a vintage American pickup truck with the American West in the background. It’s a persona that has no correlation to this man and has been used for decades as a marketing ploy to sell cigarettes and other garbage so I’m immediately suspect and judgy.

It’s the same in the US. They offer you a total deal expecting to make money on selling the loan. If you pay cash they charge you more for the same deal so they make their money. Car dealerships in general offer no real value and just make things cost more.

I would have guess to prevent animals from jumping it and wandering in traffic. The markers on the road side are just reflectors for night driving. This is speculation.

For what it’s worth my 2015 Toyota will allow me to connect over Bluetooth but in android I wouldn’t give it permissions to my text message, just audio. It works fine except for the fact that every damn time I turn the car on it asks again for text message access and I have to click no on the infotainment screen.

How about a different angle; enjoy the veggies as they are and forget the emulated meat puck. This isn’t a dig at you, just a general statement of how I always found it weird there are so many vegetarian and vegan food tring to emulate a meat stick or patty. Veggies are wonderful all by themselves why not enjoy them for what they are instead of competing with something it’s not. My 2 cents.

Bose sound bars meet all your requirements. They have microphones but the mute button on it is a hardware disconnect of the microphone power. You can play audio over Bluetooth. Also has hdmi arc. You won’t be able to use Home Assistant though.

Nope no problem it’s just the colder weather. It just needs to operate in the warm up mode for longer to heat up the oil and coolant until it go into normal operation and stop wasting gas. Perfectly normal. Some cars are a lot more aggressive for warm up. Subarus, especially old ones, can sound like a broken tractor while warming up then the engine quiets down and sounds normal.

Totally normal for any car to run rich, especially on cold days while the engine warms up. Rich just means the engine is operating with slightly more gas than necessary as it’s safer during warm up though its less efficient and that’s why you smell gas. The un-burned fuel is just going right out the tail pipe. Sniff back there to confirm.

That’s my first question. I estimate that light would cost me about $30-40 a month to run with current electricity prices but I’ve wanted to do this with sugar snap peas for so long. I want flowers and things to eat in the winter!

Ha I paid $0.45 this past winter after you include all the delivery and other surcharges. You’re very lucky and I cannot wait to install solar panels
