Hanggang ngayon hindi ko pa rin ma-login yung account ko sa Jerboa. Not like it matters kasi wala naman mod tools, lol.

Mukhang third-party devs ang pag-asa ng mobile app division ng Lemmy.

It’s also worth noting na may important distinction yung mga instances. lemmy.ml and lemmygrad.ml for example, are populated by tankies. So, kahit na may Philippines sila dun na community, it’s not as casual unlike the version we created here at lemmy.world that uses the Mastodon code of conduct similar to reddiquette.

Sa totoo lang hindi rin ako familiar sa mga ideological distinctions na yan nung una. The only reason why I chose to create this in lemmy.world is because the other bigger instances weren’t accepting any new applications. Buti na lang, haha.

Napanood ko kanina yan. Suspect was packing a gun the entire time na hinahabol siya at kinuyog ng taong bayan. Those guys dodged a bullet (pun intended).

I might be typing the instance wrong. Is lemmy.world correct? Or do I need to put in something else?

This is probably the issue. I typically use passphrase or something with special characters. Will give it a shot once the site allows me to login again without this perpetual spinning circle.

Yup, ito official r/PH for Lemmy.

Madaming sumusulpot sa browser kasi may mga nauna na before for Philippines, some are even a few years old. However, all of them are under lemmy.ml which doesn't accept new registrations anymore kaya dito na lang ako sa lemmy.world nagtayo. And hindi kasing blatant mga "red" stuff sa instance na to, haha.

Ang downside lang dito sa Lemmy is account approval. Admins kasi in charge nun and not us so depende sa kung tulog sila or what, you can't post asap just yet when you sign up. That, and the founder and the predominant "red" tinge. Yari tayo kina Sara, lol.

Pero other than that, this is the best among the Reddit alternatives from what I've tried/seen. Meron din siya mobile app, pero obviously not as good as Relay/Sync/Apollo.

There's been discussions for a week now where to set up shop as the site blacks out, kaso medyo busy karamihan sa mods so there's no back and forth where to exactly. So I took it upon myself to just figure out how Lemmy works, especially with "indefinite" talks percolating.

I actually made an r/PH version in Raddle despite an existing Filipino community being there already. Turns out, they're (in the mod's own words) "leftist/anarchist-centric" forum so he said that it's better off that we remain separate. 😬

Sa lemmygrad.ml ako pangalawa nag-signup in my desperation to get something started. Nagtaka ako bakit ganun mga questions sa application form - Ano daw left tendency mo (Marxist ba or what) tapos need ba suportahan mga LGBT, haha.

Buti na lang mabilis sumagot dito sa lemmy.world.

Any chance we could have thumbnails show up on the index page?

Edit: On second thought, thumbnails work as long as your post is an image you uploaded. But it doesn't pull up og:images it seems, leading to those blank squares.

Sorry if this is a stupid question (and it does sound like something that was answered already), but is there an app for Android that works for Lemmy.world?

The ones I've seen (Jerboa, Lemmur) seem to only work for Lemmy.ml and a few others.
