A bit surprised gamemakersToolkit is doing this and allowing no discussion whatsoever. The choice of AI for the jam is theirs of course but “code is ok” but we “are worried about Artists” left me a bit sad

It seems almost insane that 6y old Switch is still expected to sell more consoles in a year then Wii U did lifetime , that’s how successful this turned out.

so Unity fires ~8% of employees. Someone still working there posts that an exec said they were renting 2 apartments in SF (which is a bit out of touch considering the situation) and then they fire that employee ~3h later??
Unity as an engine is fine but as a company is gone down

Might be easy to forget how big the jump from 720p, 1080p etc to 4k is compared with prev jumps. 8k is even worse and the gains start to become less visible imo. But the cost of production and sys requirements goes up and prob why we are solving it with stuff like DLSS.

on a Mac with silicon chip, Unity Hub (intel) takes much longer to open then Unity editor (silicon) itself and that's kinda fascinating. Don't get me wrong, what rosetta does is insane in terms of compatibility but still.

someone told there is a Unity Hub replacement, much faster written in c++ and open-source. I just tested it and it works. https://github.com/Ravbug/UnityHubNative

can't recall who recommended me Beyond Compare but one of the best diff tools I've used. Text, Folder, binary and even Image difference comparison. worth the price.
