The Sims 2 Castaway is basically the proto survival crafting game. It’s kinda cool to see the classic Sim stats get used in such a different way. I sometimes wish EA would return to those days of selling spinoff Sim games like Castaway and the Urbz, rather than just dumping every single new idea they get into one game as DLC.

The original is one of the best WH40k games ever made, easily up there with greats like Battlefleet Gothic 2 and Dawn of War 2, but that’s not what has me excited. Mechanicus has, imo, the single best soundtrack of any WH40k game by a mile, and honestly one of the best electronic soundtracks in gaming. I am so, so excited to hear the sequel, even more than I am to play it.

This kinda shit is exactly why I love Icefrog. They’re never content with the game being balanced, once they get almost every hero to around 50% winrate they love to add a new piece to the Jenga tower of mechanics.
This patch is such an elegant solution to a bunch of very minor hero issues, while also providing a ton of shiny new toys.

They’re fun for researching problems and trying to further our efforts towards developing artificial intelligence, but the only thing techbros are selling is a new monkey to regurgitate the data it’s been fed. The monkey doesn’t know if the data is actually useful, or even if it is true, but to the techbros it “approximates a conversation” and therefore is good enough to replace jobs. AI might be cool eventually, but we are still lightyears away from anything that can think.
I know it’s the culmination of a lot of hard work, in some cases decades of hard work, but I’m an informed voter who keeps track of the news. I guess I’m mostly just decrying the Democrats complete inability to market themselves and get their base excited about their wins.
