Anyone here transitioned from a Management position back to IC?

I would love to have a quick chat on the reasoning and if you are happier now.

I have never been an exceptional engineer but I really like to build stuff and lately management stuff is draining my energy

@mpirnat thanks Mike! I am curious about what was bothering you as a manager in the first place. How much time did you prepare before transitioning back into IC? (ie did you code on side projects to warmup before the change?)
