Ach Miezi… 😻
Hat letzte Nacht die zusammengelegte Wäsche auf dem Wäschekorb zerpflückt, sich ein Nest gebaut und schläft schnurrend tief und fest. Kriegt keinen Mucks mit. 😃

I recall getting mixed reviews on launch. How is it a few months in?

finestructure,
@finestructure@mastodon.social avatar

@cthielen I saw that the upcoming (May 15) patch is going to fix some inventory issues. I’m really hoping it does a Cyperpunk and gets great by the time I check it out 😅

finestructure,
@finestructure@mastodon.social avatar

@heckj @LarsFosdal I think I'll give it a spin after the May 15 patch is out. Sounds like at least parts of it might be fun :)

Uuugh … the kubernetes server decided to update all its node machines at once, resulting in every damn service restarting, resulting in me getting very thoroughly woken up by „everything is on fire“ alarms.

Everything is fine, all services came back online by themselves 🙄

Gonna go back to bed 😴 ninight

@daniel This gave me the idea to rename my cat “Kubernetes Cluster”. He wakes me every morning around 4am 😅

I’m trying to make a package that vends at least two libraries.

The package builds each library fine, and I had no problem importing the first library into my app, but when I try to import the second library, it tells me “Cannot find ‘Foo’ in package. Did you mean ‘Foo’”

I’ve been fighting this for a few days. Any advice or pointers to projects I can learn from?

finestructure,
@finestructure@mastodon.social avatar

@fbartho Hard to tell without seeing the package manifest / source. Is your Foo declared public? Do you have a name collision? Is your library declared as a product in the manifest?

Maybe this small package can give you pointers: https://github.com/SwiftPackageIndex/SemanticVersion

Hey, I wonder why the package index site is such a CPU cycle eater?

finestructure,
@finestructure@mastodon.social avatar

@tuparev That doesn't seem right. What page are you viewing? I only see slight load when a readme is loaded in when you view a package page, after that it's 0.

Are you perhaps on a page with a readme that plays a video or gif? (Even then it seems high at 30% I think.)

I watched a lot of in 80s and 90s and I've only recently started following it again a bit more.

Back then hardly anyone ever played stops on clay court (or other surfaces, mostly makes sense on clay to begin with, I suppose).

They seem to be very common now, I wonder why?

Probably not player skill and if anything players are more athletic and faster to the net. Is it because players hit harder and therefore tend to be further back in the court, becoming more susceptible to stops?

finestructure,
@finestructure@mastodon.social avatar

@layoutSubviews Yes, drop shots!

finestructure,
@finestructure@mastodon.social avatar

@layoutSubviews Yeah, it feels like it's mostly the latter - you need to stay somewhat close to the net but at the same time gear and power have developed such that you're then more open to get overpowered on the base line.

ships with a mini game where you fix warnings and they keep coming back like zombies 😬

finestructure,
@finestructure@mastodon.social avatar

@pshadov yeah, but you best level up a bit before going for those!

finestructure,

@maciejtrybilo So that's why the mini game rule was relaxed on the app store!

@steveriggins@mastodon.social avatar

So yeah you can pin a package manager package to a reference, but that doesn’t pin any dependencies it has.

How are people locking down the entire SPM tree for security purposes?

finestructure,
@finestructure@mastodon.social avatar

@steveriggins Commit your Package.resolved and compile with --disable-automatic-resolution. This will make the build break if there's drift between what the manifest specifies and what resolved has locked in.
