Have cleared the kitchen island, dining table, and living room coffee table of clutter. Surprise! There is wood underneath! Now the cleaners can clean properly and we’ve got space to put out glasses and drinks tomorrow

Couldn't find the plastic tub I use to wash the weavings and realised it's hidden because my father has emptied a lot of garden pots into it.

@anathema_device It is, in fact, my 5th tub. My buckets are all gone and the tubs always end up in the garage even though I write WEAVING TUB on them.

What an absolutely gorgeous autumn day here in Melbourne. EVEN at the southern end of Elizabeth Street.

Something strongly reminiscent about the weather - I think it's reminding me of the first time I visited Melbourne in autumn in the 1990s. Funny how weather can prompt memory like that.

Arvo Tiny Dancers. Bella has been for a follow up at the vet and is all good. All her lumps and bumps are clearing up well.
We then had a stroll in the park where she tried to go home with a German man and was very brave about motorcycles.

Someone on FB is upset that the Bluey website used the word "Hell-bent" because the H word is bad.

This is why I sometimes get in trouble moderating for American companies - I forget that our normal words are bad over there.

This beastie is on antibiotics and the tablets are HUGE so I've been mooshing them up and mixing them with yoghurt.
She's started refusing the stinky mediciny yoghurt. This morning she sniffed the yoghurt and refused it but it turned out she just wanted to have it fed to her on a spoon rather than licking it from a bowl.

Just saw a comment on the Vimes Boot Theory (attached, you're welcome) that said "This is why poor is a state of mind. Why would you buy the cheap boots and spend extra money when the better boots are right there? You should buy the better boots and save money long term" and that, my dude, IS THE FUCKING POINT.

(The Boots theory comes from the passage below, from the Novel Men At Arms by Terry Pratchett)
