Being serious: what MMORPG or old game isn’t able to run on Proton or Wine by now?
Literally everything I’ve tossed at Linux Mint and told “use proton 9” has just worked? Currently playing the most heavily modded FNV run I’ve ever done while also experiencing actually 0 crashes for the first time and I’m not actually 100% sure how that’s happening?
I’ve been shocked with Linux’s game capabilities through proton 9 at this point and would love to hear of a use case where it’s not working just to see if I could get it working for the fun of it if I get some time
Homie I can see you and at least one other person whining in every thread possible about how your use case is valid
They aren’t worried about what some basement dweller thinks
Nice ad hominem, bud, really shows you’re not defensive. How about the opinion of someone on land with livestock, yet doesn’t feel the need to own a truck? Isn’t that, like, the exact person you guys claim needs one so desperately after all?
Prolly cuz I’m not stupid enough to drive my car off-road if it ain’t capable of handling the terrain.
I have taken appropriately lifted vehicles off-road many times, though, and many of them weren’t big ass lifted trucks because that’s rarely what’s actually needed. Oh, and even if you do need said lift, a truck ain’t even the best vehicle for that purpose.
But go on, keep pretending the .01% of truck owners actually travelling through 4ft of mud to get to and from their farm are the normal use case for trucks.
You’ll notice almost immediately that there are many 4x4 vehicles with ground clearance that aren’t also gigantic trucks that will go unused for their main intended purpose.
The 15-year IT guy at my old job who got me fired cuz he was scared I’d replace him cuz I knew shit like computers needing drivers and how GPUs work (he asked ME for advise ffs)
I’m 100% with you on the health stuff, but out of genuine curiosity:
its first specific and ridiculous lie: claiming that a hookah is an early form of vape
It is, though? You might think of an e-cig when you hear “vape” but it’s short for “vaporization” or “vaporizer”, which are actually different from smoking.
In smoking you light the material itself on fire and draw the smoke produced by the active incineration of the material into your lungs.
In vaping you heat the air around a substance (even loose plant material) and cause the actual material to vaprize, not incinerate, and you inhale that vapor, not smoke.
The key differences being a lack of tar and similar gunk from the actual flame, despite seeming like a mere semantic difference there are actual physical differences.
It’s been a while since I saw a hookah in action, but my understanding is that they heat up the air with charcoal and that you then draw that past the tobacco and through water before it goes into your lungs. That’s the exact same thing my Ditanium desktop vaporizer does, except it uses a quartz heater and not charcoal. The plant matter itself doesn’t burn, so no tar. Maybe some from the charcoal, but even then the claim that it’s an early version of what is today called vaping is probably a fair assessment.
Also people tend to leave their grinders dirty for like, way too fucking Long and let the keif build up on the actual screen and window/middle bits where the weed actually sits, so rinsing ANY part of it is a waste.
My mother has brought over her grinder and it’s so fucked I can barely unscrew it, have to spend 10 minutes scraping that golden beauty off the sides of her grinder (end up with $40 worth at a dispensary lol) before I can alcohol bathe it
Also if you rinse your grinder with water your going to end up so sticky lol
Like, I saw the second biggest Buddha statue just in Japan and it was taller than that.
And Buddha is just a fat guy smiling at you like he knows he sold people on his bullshit for thousands of years and is living it, not nearly as deserving of a tall statue as creepy baby jesus
But with government I don’t have a say. If I don’t pay taxes I go to jail and if I don’t like how my taxes are spent then too bad. There is no alternative.
It’s called voting, really basic part of our world you seem to have forgotten about.
