That entire instance is infested with a massive amount of right-wing hate, transphobia, homophobia, and ugly political vitriol under the guise of “allowing free speech”, rising to the same level or worse than lemmygrad (which we have already defederated from for obvious reasons). I'm done episode 3 and I'm going "ugh". Not in the same way that the first 5 seasons had me going UGH but still an unsettling feeling in my gut about the story Charlie Brooker is trying to tell. Ep 1 and 2 were pretty good on that front but I feel like ep 3 turned on a dime in believable character actions.
Yeah, I bailed on the final episode because the rest was so underwhelming, and the last episode was bordering on feature length.
It’s a shame because I’m a big fan of Charlie Brooker, I loved the earlier seasons.
I thought Joan Is Awful was alright, but too much time was spent on the premise and the twist felt rushed. Loch Henry was good, but not the “what would happen if <insert sci-fi tech> was real” type premise that I’ve come to expect from the show. Beyond the Sea was about 40 minutes too long. Mazey Day… I have no idea what they were thinking.
I genuinely wish I liked it more, but this is two underwhelming seasons in a row for me now 😕
Recently, I've been getting into prog rock, and I need more bands to listen to. I dig Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, King Crimson, and a couple others. I particularly like King Crimson's heavy, jazzy sound so bands like King Crimson are appreciated. Thanks!
Some of Reddit’s most popular communities have posted open letters to the company with a series of requests regarding many key issues at the heart of the recent protests on the platform. They want a response by June 29th.
It seems like this is the only way that Reddit can slow the rise of the Fediverse to me. All of their official access channels (web/official app) pale in comparison to the usability of third party apps.
I’m looking for suggestions for electronic albums in any sub-genre that you think exemplify dedication to craft and careful consideration of detail in any aspect: production, sound design, composition, etc....
Four Tet’s unpronounceable side-project is great too. Search for: ⣎⡇ꉺლ༽இ•̛)ྀ◞ ༎ຶ ༽ৣৢ؞ৢ؞ؖ ꉺლ
This EP is a great place to start: ooo ̟̞̝̜̙̘̗̖҉̵̴̨̧̢̡̼̻̺̹̳̲̱̰̯̮̭̬̫̪̩̦̥̤̣̠҈͈͇͉͍͎͓͔͕͖͙͚͜͢͢͢͢͢͢͢͢͢͢͢͢͢͢ͅ oʅ͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡( ؞ৢ؞ؙؖ⁽⁾˜ัิีึื์๎้็๋๊⦁0 ̟̞̝̜̙̘̗̖҉̵̴̨̧̢̡̼̻̺̹̳̲̱̰̯̮
It’s a bit more analogue than his normal stuff? But definitely hits the “intricately crafted” mark!
Has anyone used this? I haven't seen it recommended before in the typical arr stack and it seems like its infinitely more useful for those who are trying to easily maintain ratio on private trackers.
Recommendation to defederate from exploding-heads
