Hi folks. I've been with Vodafone since 2017, and after two weeks of a fibre connection being own and being fobbed off three times with support staff saying a technician will call me back to arrange a visit (they didn’t), I'm looking to move find another provider for broadband and mobile.

I've settled for easybell at home.

I have a query about eSim based, no new phone, rolling one-month mobile providers tho. Who do you use?

@mrchrisadams Fraenk = Congstar = Telekom = best German network so if it’s bad, you either live in some Telekom network black hole or they do additional throttling. I can already tell you that Fraenk’s roaming conditions are abysmal.

My rec would be to give up on non-EU roaming altogether and get a travel on-demand eSIM with something like https://ref.airalo.com/27JV (ref link). That’s what I do and I’m super happy with it. (1/2)

That said, remember that nowadays in DE all contracts become monthly after a year by the latest.

And also keep in mind that mobile contracts in Germany are comparatively complete shit due to historic reasons. (2/2)

Ok, I am traveling to Spain soon, and when I travel I usually bring a bit of protein powder (I put it in cottage cheese or yogurt to add some flavor and texture).

However, I suspect that my usual approach — Ziploc baggies in a freezer bag — might invite, uh… extra scrutiny… at customs (see photo).

Anyone have alternative ideas about how to transport this stuff without creating suspicion? The original packaging won’t work because it is very bulky.
