Tomorrow is municipal waste set-out day. New set-outs: municipal compost, 3980g; landfill, 1 bag, 2150g; blue bin, 2680g. That makes 6 bags, 16.3 kg of landfill waste we've set out since December 7. https://www.jeffleiper.ca/waste/

I think I can say I've tracked every trip I've made since January 1st, and my perception of how I travel has changed. For my sheet, I count a "trip" as going from Point A to a Point B destination, tracking stops along the way. Since I started tracking those, I've made 351 "trips"...

One-third of the way into the year, I'm surprised by how much I use transit. 1/3 of my trips involve a bus or LRT. 35% of my trips involve cycling - either single-mode or combined with transit.

Fantastic first PWHL game experience for Natalie and I! Really fun hockey, a treat lopsided win, and just so much more relaxed getting to TD Place by bus than the CTC drive. A little too cool tonight for Nat to cycle. 5/5.

@casseagull the prices are ridiculous, especially when you consider transit is included! It’ll be interesting to see if they can maintain those 10 years from now as the players command higher salaries. I hope that comes mostly from sponsorship and broadcast rather than gate - the affordability is amazing right now.

@johnefrancis I was rushing out of the house and didn't record! At the top of the pile it's getting very warm and even steamy, but that heat's not penetrating down very quickly. I'm curious to see how it is when I get home later today.
