I spent the evening reading iPad reviews and watching many of the videos released yesterday and compiled the highlights:

We don't have an iPad Pro review for for you today.

Instead, @viticci takes an in-depth look at how iPadOS is holding the iPad back, something he's talked about in bits and pieces before, but never in one comprehensive story, and all from the perspective of someone who's been an iPad-first user for over a decade.

MacStories Unwind is out a little earlier than usual today. This week, @viticci and I break down what went wrong with Apple's Crush! video and Federico takes us on a behind-the-scenes look at his time in London for this week's Let Loose iPad event.

While you wait for the Apple event to start, check out Screens 5.2 by @edovia. It now works with the Vision Pro and adds a handful of other useful features to every version of the app.

Today is a special day in Apple history.

5 years ago today, Warren Buffet’s Paper Wizard debuted on the App Store.

It's my favorite bit of weird Apple history next to the App Review Guidelines comic book.

It’s also why app preservation is important because it's a small slice of app history that is no longer available on the App Store.

Read my story on @macstories: https://www.macstories.net/stories/every-app-tells-a-story-worth-preserving-even-warren-buffets-paper-wizard/

And to do our part to preserve this bit of app history, we've relaunched the MacStories YouTube channel with footage of the entire game from start to finish.

AppStories+ is the extended, ad-free version of our flagship podcast that is published a day early each week.

I don't mean to jump the gun, but I bet Apple made some money in Q2. Maybe not as much as some might like, but still a lot. China is a concern. AI too. Currency headwinds persist. Regulation is a drag. Cool stuff is coming.
