Personally tho, I have NO idea about tech other than to turn on a computer and work a couple art programs tho, so I’m afraid I cannot help you more than this. 😅

This is how it looks to me in the official Mastodon app. You DON’T need a Bsky account tho, that’s the whole point of their service that it mirrors over to Mastodon.

Yeah, it's been growing a little slower lately (at 5.6 million now, slowly going up to 6), but the community that IS there is turning out to be really nice and chatty. And yes, they added gifs! Albeit it is just the regular library at first. They are working on having us upload our own ones as well, but that is coming together with video (soon, they said, probably a couple weeks)

@andycarolan I think Bsky does, they have some good ideas like a very strong block feature and even an AI moderation list that filters out AI content; in general their moderation game is very good. I just hope they will find some funding and staying power, but then again Masto is still around, so I’m hopeful people will eventually just make their own instances.
