Outdoor bike cage! 🫠

I have had heated indoor bike parking for the last 10 years with other departments. That is my standard now. The same level of service that drivers to the office get.

@casseagull we can do 22 eddy or phase IV. The other coworking locations are not as convenient and have no wifi so our Macs are bricked there.

@casseagull I figure our exemption isn’t going to last forever so I’m mentally preparing to go wherever has the best bike parking.

My memory of 22 eddy was a pigeon filled non-secure area. So… 🐦 - not somewhere I want to be leaving a Brompton.

As I biked home from the gym on Saturday, neighbourhood packed with cars, why is the mayor not shaming people for driving instead of taking the bus on the weekend, to Lansdowne, to the market etc. Transit failing is more than just 2 or 3 day GC workweeks. We are just the scapegoats for everything that’s wrong.

Anyway - if we really wanted people to save transit - parking would be less available and way more expensive. But noooooooooo only transit fare can ever increase.

    Ripped off another email to the city after another downtown local business was forced to close because the landlord is a greedy no good jerk. But I am sure.. that trip to London was really important. 😑

    Highly discourage anyone from going to Persis Grill on Preston at the 417 because they treat the sidewalk out front like it’s their personal parking space. Reported these assholes this morning. They also only have a 3.8 on Google Reviews even though they’re brand new so not worth it anyway.

    Zoning isn’t the problem with the Lansdowne project. It’s the HALF BILLION DOLLRS we’re planning on just giving to a rich man’s organization, the same one that has a 30 year contract to fleece us already at the site. Cancel it. Bulldoze the old stands.     @Auxonic just move it to Pimisi and get it over with. Give the urban area a new rec centre. Move innovation Ottawa there and be a real business incubator. Move all the impacted arts businesses there that are getting booted from Gladstone. Make it all a hub for locals first. Gaaaaaaaaah

    Ontario’s Conservative premier wants federal workers to take public transit into town to save transit and downtown restaurants while setting money aside for new interchange to improve automobile traffic flow. “It’s a real massive boost to transit ridership, it’s huge.”

    @stephanie @dairpo @Hansonthebike even if I did go to an office, our locations are not downtown Ottawa. Also - no one batted an eye when Shopify went full remote or had their own cafeterias so people weren’t going to restaurants. That was just smart business.

    I was at physio downtown and everyone drives - the traffic is heavy with single occupancy SUVs. You’re not going to get people out of their cars just because you want them to take transit. Gaaah
