I have this idea and i'm not sure if anyone has implemented this yet

So i listen mostly to classical music, in classical music a lot of pieces are split into movements. And those movements are usually split into individual tracks.

This is a problem, i essentially can't enable shuffle when listening to classical music, because i want to listen to preserve the internal order of the piece when listening.

So i got this idea, playlist blocks. you can add these blocks to your playlists and toggle shuffle for individual blocks.

it would work something like this:

let's say i have a playlist A:

- 1
- 2
- 3
- 4
- 5

when i shuffle it it will be put into a random order, i.e. ```

  • 2
  • 5
  • 4
  • 1
  • 3

But if i add a block encompassing let's say tracks 2 - 4:
  • 1
    | - 2
    | - 3
    | - 4
  • 5

and shuffle it, (with shuffle disabled in that block), we will get something like ```
| - 2
| - 3
| - 4
- 5
- 1

you could also stack those blocks and they will be resolved recursively ```

  • 1
    | no shuffle
    | - 2

    | |- 3
    | |- 4
  • 5
