I probably don’t say it enough, but I’m really thankful for @R4DSCommunity and @jonthegeek. For the past 2+ years, this community has really been a godsend to me not only for the knowledge I’ve gained but the friends I made along the way as well. Thank you, Jon, for all you do to keep us all learning and growing together!
You can render to epub - so great that resources like https://r4ds.had.co.nz/index.html that are actually quarto books can be rendered as an epub just by changing the .yaml format
(I realised recently you can also do this with bookdown which is amazing)
@Dan@rstats I don't quite follow. Do you mean that if I fork the source code, go into the _quarto.yml and change the project type, I can get an ebook instead? If so, I have a lot of books to download. 🤩
Hello #rstats folks! I am focussing on trying to condense my #rstats reading into an RSS reader, and I was wondering if people could share some links to blogs that they follow?
Random musings: It can be really difficult asking for help when you’re the person folks usually turn to for help. Compounded with experiences of either being told that you should be able to figure it out on your own or outright being denied help, it can reinforce the mentality that you need do everything yourself without the aid of others. It’s a hard mindset to overcome, even when you are offered help unsolicited. 🤔
In this month’s Amstat News “My ASA Story”, I got the oppurtunity to discuss how transformative being in the ASA and attending their conferences has been for me. Although I don’t mention it in the story, the same could be said for the #rstats community. From participating in the @R4DSCommunity, @RLadiesRemote and R-Ladies Global Community, to attending #rstudioconf2022 and soon #positconf2023, so many opportunities have opened up to me, and I’m forever grateful. 🙏🏾
