A few folk said yes to the dailies suggestion so have at it. I only spent all of two minutes looking at the search results of ‘Lemmy bot’ before deciding to leave it for another day. Anyway, can anyone create a bot for the community or is that a mod privilege?...
My first complaint post! I know that the roads authority is watching this thread. It’s also a ‘On a bridge but not a bridge’ post. Two birds and all that. I saw someone drive up onto this last night and yeah pretty much title.
Me2: But it’s warm and i have lemmy working on multiple apps now, I can scroll aimlessly for hours still.
Me1: Yes but the sooner you get up and make a coffee the sooner you’ll be drinking coffee. You really want that coffee.
Me2: Yeah but if I get up I’ll have to make the bed, have a shower, put the kettle on, wash a few dishes, hang out the clothes I forgot to hang out yesterday and there’s so much to scroll and see. It’s cold out there.
Me1: You’ll be warm in no time now get up and stop whining. Coffee, coffee, coffee. We needs it.
I keep meaning to look into home assistant. I just don’t have that many things to automate I guess, but that heater trick sounds neat. I should probably just start with the heaters built in scheduling.
I can’t touch soft drink. Makes my gums piss blood when I floss or brush, and I have healthy gums. Dentist couldn’t stop the bleeding no matter what she recommended. So I just cut back on things that aggravate the bleeding when I recognise them.
However when I do drink soft drink, it’s Pepsi Max.
There is (or was) a neat wooden toy shop and cafe a few minutes up the road from this tree. The toys are made in the in-house wood working shop. From memory the cafe does cheese and meat board along with Devonshire tea.
The only app I ever accessed Reddit with died (Slide) so here I am. Don’t use Reddit on the bigger puters cuz they are for work only I guess. Rejoice for Slide for Lemmy is in development and that what’s brought me here. It’s a bit of a buggy alpha release though so I’m also testing Jerboa and Liftoff. Well now that...
I have vague memories of someone posting images of this on /r/sydney earlier this year. I think it’s up but has no pylons at either end.
There’s also the smaller Sydney Harbour Bridge War Memorial at Callan Park built by Ngajanji man Douglas Grant. Haven’t had a chance to check it out myself.
If I use the ‘Go to subreddit’ search and add a community from another instance the app crashes. Feel free to add this to the GitHub issues list if I don’t get around to it soon.
I have a version that can log in (optionally), show posts of all media types, view comments and if youve voted, and today i'm going to add the ability to vote. So far, you cannot post or comment, but those are my next priority. You also cannot currently use any mode except "comment pane" view type, but that would be my priority...
Late comment but none the less. I think this early in development go for quick/regular alpha/beta releases. Give your supporters/users something to give you feedback on, create issue reports and hopefully more code contributions. Not being a developer though I have no idea if this would create its own set of issues.

it's a daily thread, starring you and you and you and you and me
So it looks like the cool kids over in Melbourne have a daily thread bot. Should we make one of our own or leave it up chance?...

[0.0.2] Second version, slightly less buggy than the last (github.com)
Detail in the link. Crash reporting should make this a lot easier now though!...
Question: would you guys rather I release a very beta version in time for the end of the month, or wait for something more solid?
