It's a documted issue nowadays. buggy bios version that shipped in the store when i bought it. ran Linux so didn't get the update. one port failed and i figured "o well it's got 2 right? whatever" and then when the other one died i didn't have the chance or awareness to do anything. theoretically if i could somehow charge the battery outside the laptop and put it in again i could do the update and it would probably work again. but not even the slightly newer refresh of the same model has the same battery connector - it's the same 8 leads in the same order but the plug is

I can buy the same model battery on ebay for way too much plus risky shipping, for a battery with 30% charge I'm going to use once

I was just sort of venting about the difficulty of solving this particular problem with how unique and obscure batteries are for some reason

i like Minecraft. i like some videos about Minecraft. but when youtube just starts recommending you random channels, it's really hard to tell what's actual genuine gameplay (especially stuff like servers and mods) and what is fake schlock for babies that im too dumb to call bs on

in all seriousness. skydiving isn't 100% safe, but it's way more than 99%. as long as you're at a certified location and your instructor is competent, it's literally fine. especially if you're a tourist doing a one-off tandem.
