Since I like FreeBSD so much on my server I installed it on my crappy unstable laptop as well. I only use it for browsing, editing notes and video conferencing when working from home, so I need no complex setup....
I don’t see enough people running BSD as a full desktop system. You seems to be experienced with this. I am trying to get into BSD, but am experienced in Linux.

I got a spare RPi3. Seems the hardware support is great, even with wifi. RTC seems to be unsupported tho. Such a shame since I got a DS3231 just for the Pi.
DS3231 is an I2C based high accuracy RTC chip, usually comes in breakout modules. Mine was packaged in such a way you can plug in the header directly to the expansion pins of the Pi.
What you just described sounds wild to me. I’ll check it out!
Please don’t get me wrong, this is not meant to be rude slander. MX Linux is not a bad Distro at all (even tho I’ve always opted for Debian instead) and peops are free to use what suits them best....
