I got home around 1 am after last night's performance and saw that someone had put a desk/table with nice metal legs and an oak top out on the street.

I've been needing a new desk, so I dragged it home.

I went out and looked at it this morning and the top is not oak. It is bamboo. It's bamboo stamped with a fake oak wood grain pattern. lol. I'll still use it though.

There has to be a better way to share my host filesystem with my Windows 11 guest than SSHFS-Win. It generally works, but sometimes the connection breaks and that's annoying

@deshipu @MLE_online there was a cool one with a rubber ball so you could change the ratio continously. But obviously because it was a rubber ball, it was hugely inefficient and kinda sucked

@deshipu @MLE_online interesting, I use the minor gear changes quite often. In a slight uphill I downshift but I don't want to pedal at crazy speed to move at all, just a little bit easier

@deshipu @wolf480pl I think it's mostly weird declination, Czech does it too but differently. Some really odd suffixes added in different cases. The teacher just showed it as an example we won't learn yet ...

Yesterday we were preparing a place for Tbilisi Guix Meetup and one of the residents of hackerspace brough an arm thinkpad. It's the first RISC laptop I see in person that feels modern and satisfying.

Maybe we will try to build a Guix image for it.
