I understand that not everyone is fortunate to have money saved to be able to have the leeway to leave jobs whenever they feel like it and so forth. But I just feel like people have lost their sense of self-respect when it comes down to employment....
I have a manager who hates me because of it. But as long as I do my job well, and as long as everyone else likes me, I can push back as much as I fucking want.
Helps that I have a disability, one of the few times it works in my favour is in employment.
And as far as I’m concerned, all games should have their fucking y axis inverted as default so I don’t have to keep turning it on.
If I have a camera on a tripod and I angle down…the view goes up. If I angle up, the view goes down. That’s how it works. Or, I guess, how my mind works at least.
If someone grabbed my (steadily getting overgrown) hair from the back and yank down, my eyesight will move up. And vice versa.
I would be amazed if this actually came to fruition. It would paralyze the country yet again while they play party politics. That would be four PMs all from one election result. Four sets of resignation honours lists. yet another round of all change in ministerial positions. What would a new face actually achieve with so little...
Like, I get comments from people telling me it’s weird I always try to peel potatoes like I am trying to make the worlds longest 1-piece potato peel. To me it feels way for efficient and fun to continu down a potato in 1 peel, while circling around it, instead of randomly scraping a hundred different pieces of peel off and...
“I HAVE BEEN CHARGED FOR CALLING HMRC!! YOU SAID IT WAS FREE!”
“Yes, it’s free if you use 0300 200 3300 like I told you. You searched on Google and blindly chose a redirect instead of the official government site. Not my fucking fault”
More concerning than Bethesda’s decision to withhold early review codes from certain outlets is how heavily some sites are relying on the game to drive their business.
I ran a gaming store at the time, with rentals. I remember when brink came out and I had the exact same experience when I took it home to try. At least I had no anticipation and didn’t pay anything for it.
Review summary: “If you see Carmageddon 64 in the shops, take it off the shelves, rip up the box and throw the cart repeatedly against the wall until it breaks”.
Classic
Edit: fuck me, fourty fucking quid for that game back then. That’s £70 with inflation!!!
Edit edit: I’m looking at the prices of the games I got in the 90s…fucking hell, we have it good nowadays. Of course literally everything else is more expensive but eh
Yeah, after Reddit died (as far as I’m concerned) I set up a tracker for a load of RSS feeds. A lot of them are, as you say, updates concerning walkthroughs and guides. Predominantly Baldurs Gate 3 at the moment.
Which is fine I guess, but it is very obvious what they’re pushing…I’d rather just have news.
In any case, Violet Berlin was on CITV with her husband Gareth Jones in Big Bang which was a great show. Jones was also on HOW 2 along with Fred Dineage (Fred is still fucking going, he’s on the new HOW series!)
Edit: oh shit no, bad influence was CITV indeed! My bad.
No, the Wii U’s issue is the name is nonsensical. What the fuck does the U mean? It sounds like an add-on or health title.
No one had an issue with identifying the Super Nintendo Entertainment System as a successor to the Nintendo Entertainment System, or the Super Famicom as the successor to the Famicom.
I don’t play my switch anymore, I exclusively use Yuzu on my PC.
I can play games like Xenoblade 3 in native 4k 60fps with HDR on my TV using a pro controller. No way am I going back to using the switch docked. Ever.
Edit: also 4k mario kart deluxe with mods. Shrek, Peter Griffin and homer are perfect additions to any race
Yep. And the console itself looked like a Wii, out of focus in all promotions to begin with too.
When the console was announced at that E3 back then, I was on a live chat somewhere I think, thousands of active users, most obviously well versed in games and consoles and tech in general. Everyone was fucking confused. That was when it was obvious it would not go well.
Just wanted to share that my favorite bag company is going to rerelease bags for the 3DS for a short time, I got one for my Pocket and Switch and really like the waxed canvas
When the GameCube was out in 2002, I remember buying SNES games from the retro section. That was just 6 years after the launch of the N64 and 11 years since the western launch of the SNES, 12 since the Super Famicom launch.
Best to play with the rebalance mods. I’ve played through Xenoblade 3 and the DLC a few times with it both on my switch and on my PC (4k 60fps HDR with my switch pro pad on my TV via Yuzu emulator). They make the gameplay so much better.
