@xarvos, you could very well fit the time epoch into more than one word, as time itself is not a primitive data structure. I suppose what @sammycola said would be logical if instead of 32-bit, it’s more specifically x86, but even then there’s hardly a reason to discard functional hardware. While electronics may keep getting pumped out for next few decades at the same steady pace, there’s no reason to believe production will stay that way forever.
i thought that too, but after redoing the thermal past under the lid, it went from slightly audible fan speed to literally quieter than my house ambient noise. 100% would recommend it if you can do it.
@sammycola I have a bad history of breaking things when trying to repair them so I'm just a bit self conscious about doing it :ChikaPain: granted I've gotten a lot better at these kinds of things lately... Just afraid of breaking my only fat ps3!
Switching from the third party AV cables (Insurrection and HD Retrovision) to the official cables has been a marked improvement, most notably in the physical construction.
@sammycola The PS2 has to have the WORST 3rd party cables I've ever seen. I have a set of... some random brand that works pretty well. I mainly just use a PS3 for convenience nowadays though.
