Not to hate because we're still enjoying it, but does anyone else feel like the show generally fails to capture this kind of feeling from the comic? I feel like the comic does a great job of pointing out the sheer absurdity of so much human activity, while the show seems to be more of a generic sitcom with strangely-dictating aliens instead of humans.

Three good novels to see if you have a taste for cyberpunk: The Diamond Age: Or, a Young Lady's Illustrated Primer and Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson, and Neuromancer by William Gibson. The first is lush and leisurely, the latter two are very lean and fast-paced.
