@jon hmm, that's interesting - in theory the tilting is nothing to do with passenger comfort and more to do with preventing hunting oscillations, that can, if it gets bad, throw a train off the rails

very weird that the loco doesn't tilt then, means it's more likely to get bad hunting oscillations? maybe at 125mph it doesn't matter tooo much?

@jon Wonder how they compare to british pendos, I've been on those quite a few times now so i should be able to compare

@jon yeah i can defo see the pendos being less spacious given the more restrictive loading gauge in the UK and the fact that you need to sacrifice some of that for the tilting (hence why they have sloped sides, so that it won't crash into another train as it tilts round a corner)
Never found the British pendolinos rattle-y or bumpy though, wonder if that's because I've always used them on the very well maintained mainlines (which are where they only run)
