My friend didn't have a great experience with Linux

I have been daily driving Linux for over two years now and I have switched distros many times. So, when my friend bought a new laptop, I convinced him to install Linux Mint on it. I asked him if he wanted to dual boot, he said no because it would fill up all his storage. We installed Linux Mint. The other day, he wanted to play...

FIFA and Roblox, those gotta be one of the worst games to run on linux…

someacnt_,

Let me see, you do not have math as a job?

someacnt_,

If you knew Samsung for real, you’d know it only care for its owners and ready to send anyone else to damnation.

someacnt_,

Yeah it’s tough to expect general users to switch. I would just like linux to go over 5% threshold so that companies seriously consider it.

someacnt_,

I feel like I only use ls, cd and apt update & apt upgrade. Other commands are for when e.g. hardware malfunctions.

someacnt_,

Ah yeah, thanks a lot! I’ll post screenshots when I got time

someacnt_,

Posted screenshot, could you take some look id you got time?

someacnt_,

I see, I was trying to be too clever with the build. Let me reduce the number of selections being used in the build.

I heard this is why some people do ocaml instead

Python is great, but stuff like this just drives me up the wall (lemmy.world)

Explanation: Python is a programming language. Numpy is a library for python that makes it possible to run large computations much faster than in native python. In order to make that possible, it needs to keep its own set of data types that are different from python’s native datatypes, which means you now have two different...

What years of dynamic typing brainrot does to mf

someacnt_,

Are these papers not listed on arxiv?

someacnt_,

I heard that nanotubes are being used in strengthening various materials. But yeah, not world-changing

someacnt_,

Doubt this would work if the individual is not attractive.

someacnt_,

I mean, social ineptitude might not be something that can be rectified.

someacnt_,

Appearance? Height? (Not talking about OP, am rather talking in general)

someacnt_,

I bet that’s not how things work.

someacnt_,

Interesting, I’ve not seen those - rather, the perception that if a beauty is dating an ugly, then clearly the ugly is rich and the beauty is just trying to take the money (and possibly flee later).

someacnt_,

That’s the thing - You say that like being prosocial is malleable property, but imo it is even more difficult to change than appearance.

someacnt_,

Ah, sorry. I should stop assuming one is (semi-) autistic alike mine. For me, the autism has been main barrier for fluidic communications.

someacnt_,

I see, maybe that was it, even tho I did not have intention to get accustomed to. Btw idk why I am downvoted that much, do people think I am lying? Huh. I thought it was possible to be interested in becoming friends, even tho it is towards women…

Also, people do not know of those who avoid just based on looks?

someacnt_,

It’s so sad how this kind of people succeeded. Or, is the society designed this way? Ugh.

someacnt_,

Yeah, I am more curious about if e.g. being a bigot even helps your chances in success. Bleak…
