On average, Daredevil is my favorite comic character, period. Not necessarily every single story arc, or every writer’s take, but the overall character that is beneath all of those.

My favorite DC character is usually Batman, but they reboot so damn often that it makes it hard to have a relatively stable character at all, so it’s more that I like the idea of Batman, and enjoy only some of the story arcs here and there.

Daredevil at least has a relatively consistent personality and ethos. Otherwise they’d be equally “favorite” for me. I really dig the idea of what is basically a regular person that has no or no extreme powers doing their best to overcome tragedy. Yeah, technically, DD has a super power, but it isn’t very super, it comes with limitations and one of those limits is that it’s only perceptions. That’s really no different in scale from Batman’s “genius” imo.

Mind you, with all of that, my “favorites” are really thin margins between them and the rest of my “favorites list” that are below them. And there are eras of a given character or a specific story arc where a character that would rank lower as a character ends up being much higher. An example of that is The Immortal Hulk storyline. Probably my second or third favorite story arc ever, despite Hulk being further down my list than someone like Spiderman, that I really like a lot more as a character overall.

Nope, the process gives a different flavor. That’s partially because of the varieties used, and partially the heat changing the juice.

Think of it more like balsamic vinegar. You can kinda get a similar taste to barrel aged by taking grape must and mixing it with other things, but it is still a different taste, and the viscosity can’t even be close. So, when you reduce the faux balsamic with heat, you and to with a very different taste indeed.

The process of dehydration is slower and gentler than a reduction can be, so the flavor gets preserved better. When you then extract the juice, you end up with a less altered taste. Mind you, it’s also different from the grape the raisins were originally from; dehydration does change things some by itself.

Santa looks like he has white eyes and is crying.

It took me a minute to see that the white circles are eyebrows

You said it, the details are going to vary too much between specific attempts to give a single answer.

This is one of those rare times that reddit would have been perfect because of r/askhistorians. You could at lest have probably gotten partial answers for specific amendments and cobble together a guesstimate on what a modern effort would take.

But just from a bit of memory based on very old classes, you’d be looking at years of sustained groundwork to build support, and that’s going to be millions to billions of dollars spent in propaganda (which isn’t an inherently negative word when used broadly), and awareness raising, plus man hours beyond my ability to guess.

I know that even that last one took a lot of work to get started.

They’re gonna want to recoup all their investment as fast as possible. And, with the typical pricing of “audiophile” players being fairly steep, having one that’s also a phone in function, the only way to do that is to price higher than they can their other products.

I could be wrong in that prediction, of course. But I don’t see them trying to step into the phone market at the budget range.
