Ahava Cosmetics, bought by Chinese conglomerate Fosun in 2016, runs its production site, visitor center, and main store in an illegal Israeli settlement in occupied Palestinian territory. thanks for understanding haha. and yes there is probably a context where someone could ask this question in good faith but that’s not the context of this post :)
i like to build and experience fantastical worlds of my own devising. i like to lie in the grass and let mother nature hold me like a lily in its palm.
breh you asked what we do if a man hits me on the head with a hammer
my genuine immediate reaction would be to wrestle the hammer out of control of the man
but for some reason you think that my first reaction, being in imminent danger of immediate injury and death, is to start canvassing the neighborhood? gathering signatures to ban hammers from the local Lowes or something? meanwhile the guy with the hammer still has his hammer and is beating the shit out of me. i actually would not do that.
i’m being quite consistent where you are being quite silly 😛
edit: also no one said “instead” but you. pardon me for not taking this seriously i just don’t care (about your messed up hypothetical; i care deeply about institutional violence)
First, I addressed the issue by removing the utterly false smear of the pro-Palestine movement as self-obsessed and obstructionist in the face of human rights violations.
Next, I reject your assertion that I “erased genocide from the discourse.” My intention was to redirect the focus of the post towards a more accurate target, not to dismiss the seriousness of genocide. I encourage you to reexamine the disclaimer included in the post, clarifying that it does not fully reflect my views, and understand that my aim was to be more sensitive to the efforts of the anti-genocide movement.
Lastly, I kindly ask you to consider your tone. I prefer not to resort to reporting or blocking, but sudden abrasive behavior like this makes the platform unwelcoming for many users.
Honestly I have no clue who lady liberty is meant to represent. I took a bad cartoon which I didn’t like and slightly improved on it, because the original was just broadly invalidating of and disrespectful towards the pro-Palestine movement.
Still plenty wrong with this cartoon, I just fixed the worst part.
