The problem is you can interpret it however you want. It’s very easy to justify defying almost any of Christ’s teachings with some fun wordplay. Matthew 6:5-8 is about performative worship, and Christians don’t do performative worship you see, they are actually worshiping so it doesn’t count. Not sure how they weasel themselves out of Matthew 6:14-15 though

I used to be the kind that would have downvoted this comment, but every android update has me eyeing apple more and more. If there were an equivalent to Tasker, I’d switch in a heartbeat.

I want AI for exactly one thing: helping me put my own thoughts into words. A GPT-3 machine trained in 2021 it’s perfectly good enough for that. For everything else, I want simple if-this-then-that programming.

“Using technology to complain about technology”

This is like pointing at someone who took a bus to a climate science convention to talk about the problems with air travel and saying “wow, you used mass transit to complain about mass transit”

Nobody:

Me: I’ll stop being cranky about it when people stop pointlessly appending “nobody:” to their comments

At least K has something to do with Kleenex. It’s more like buying Coca-Cola and changing it to J

New York, 2045: a new bill would require ID and a background check for all sales of hammers. Said one local woman: “I just don’t see why you need one if you aren’t a professional carpenter. If you can’t justify owning it, you don’t need it!”

“Why even be good if there’s no heaven?”

They are actually absolutely right. Because I don’t believe in heaven, I’m exactly as evil as I want to be

Yeah, I chose $0.50 as an absurdly low assumption, because while the game nominally sells for $15, I don’t know anything about costs involved. A quick google search says his net worth is somewhere around 30-45 million dollars, which is about twice what I estimated. Which most people would use as an excuse to sell the game to Microsoft and retire forever, but Eric Barone is too good for that. I just realized I only own the game on mobile and xbox. Reckon I might buy it on PC next paycheck

I never thought about it like that. If he makes an average of just $0.50 per sale after all the storefront fees and taxes and stuff, he would still have enough money to pay himself $200,000 a year for an entire lifetime, just from the sales he’s already made. No wonder he’s so chill about keeping the game updated for free. What an awesome guy

PETA is well known for just killing because that’s what everyone says about them. Nobody ever seems to talk about the numerous animal rights campaigns. You’d think if they were obsessed with mindlessly slaughtering dogs, they wouldn’t be out there putting up doghouses for them. They’ve also spayed and neutered hundreds of thousands of animals. Of course, those don’t get included in the shelter statistics, since their shelter is specifically made for humane euthanasia for strays and pets whose owners can’t afford vet care.

And Maya. Two employees who were at that neighborhood picking up stray dogs, were given permission to take an unattended female brown Chihuahua without tags. Instead, they picked up an unattended female brown Chihuahua without tags (different). They didn’t follow PETA’S own guidelines about holding animals for several days before euthanizing, and were fired for it. This is not PETA stealing pets out of people’s homes to slaughter them mindlessly. If that’s what they were doing, then why didn’t they take that family’s other unattended, unidentified dogs?

Please do yourself a favor and read from sources that don’t cite CORE, the CCF, or Nathan Winograd. You’ll find that the stories are a lot more nuanced when they aren’t being told by the meat and dairy industry.

Who’s getting mad about criticizing Biden? That’s like the most popular take where I’m from–“please don’t make me vote for Joe Biden” was a meme in 2020
