I disagree when he uses the word "avatar". That word is for people who are deputies of God. Prophets. Seeing as he wrote the book, and he thinks this is the height of enlightenment...
...he is pointing to himself as a prophet. He has a fairly solid fanbase (people who fell for his schtick), but I do not believe he represents God on Earth.
With that said, cutting slack for the author's narcissistic use of the word "avatar", the mind is often under some sort of delusion. And science is just another religion. Fair enough.
@LaoBan The idea of shutting it down to save myself trouble has been on my mind so many times. The bills to run it have been increasing steadily. Several times, I have had to beg people to fund it. I'm facing the prospect of eviction currently. And I also think I'm spending too much time with computers instead of real people.
