I have everything pretty much ready to launch full time. Time, skills, customers, support from family. But I’d leave my current job behind and with it my family’s health insurance for the foreseeable future. I can’t afford any of the options I’ve seen. It’s the one thing holding me back. Any ideas for affordable health...
Does your idea only work in the US? Can you move to a country that's, y'know, more sane with healthcare (and I say this as a former US healthcare IT worker now living in another country).
I would be pissed. Depending upon what and where it was, it could potentially have things I don't want in my soil. In theory, I imagine it could cause a decertification in some organic programs that could last for years (I'm not sure how things work in Canada on that one).
I was in university then and we actually used Yahoo mostly to learn about how to search (back then with boolean operators and other things). I don't recall covering google. I think maybe we had Alta-Vista as well? Of course, Archie, Veronica, etc. were still taught as well.
I think it's great (I live in Japan), but I do worry about operations and maintenance after. Allegedly, overtime and burnout are ridiculous at some Japanese train companies and the rules are super, super strict; I don't think that would fly in other countries. The maintenance and staff are what keep things safe and efficient here. I have a feeling costs would be more in other countries both for paying overtime and more workers as well as keeping talent that actually care and are diligent.
Edit: to be clear, I don't think overtime and such to that level should be required; people should have a good work-life balance and wages.
People have playlists and multiple ones at that 0.o What are the usecases of playlists? I guess maybe I could see working out, but wouldn't the same songs in the same order over and over lose their punch?
Edit: could you please explain instead of just downvoting? I'm genuinely unsure here.
Reminds me a lot of "Dungeon Master" on the Amiga 500 and kinda like many of the SSI games I played back in the day. It wouldn't surprise me if that were also inspiration to those devs. The trailer looks neat.
The A500 had much better sounds and graphics in general and it took PC a while to catch up (though it obliterated Commodore once it did). As PC gained popularity, I had a lot of games on both platforms and still preferred the A500 versions. RIP that poor computer.

People who are on the move a lot. Yeah, USB batter packs are a thing but that's far more annoying than not. I also second the person mentioning already having wired ones.
My problem with gimp is that I've never really used Photoshop (I may have back in it's very early versions, but I don't think so). I mostly just use something like Ms paint to take and crop screenshots or photos. Jumping into gimp (and presumably PS as well) is going to confuse people trying to do that.
I still don't know how to use gimp just because I never need all that functionality and don't have time to learn. Maybe someday.
Me on my tractor tilling my field from two months ago. Not sure why it's in my download folder (maybe downloaded from somewhere wife uploaded?), but there ya go.
This image convinced me to make pizza. No glue, though I guess it technically involved flour and water (and starch and/or cellulose on the pre-shredded cheese)
As I've gotten older as a player, I have found myself dropping some eras of gaming that I used to be nostalgic for. One of them is the 8-bit era, the NES days. I have played some of the best that system had to offer and I will never say that system didn't have any good games....
I never played n64 (except maybe a couple rounds of Mario kart, but that may have been gamecube). I tried to play ZOoT, goldeneye, etc. and found the controls and camera awful. With no nostalgia for it, I was out in about 30 minutes (I think less on goldeneye be cause of that abomination of a controller).

I mean, littering is illegal basically everywhere. If there are no trashcans, just hold the thing until you get to one. At least during festivals and such, you will see people piling trash next to full trashcans as neatly as possible, to cover your other case. "Don't litter" doesn't sound like a huge ask. As stated in the article, many of these people aren't even staying in town and I know that station has (or at least had every time I went there) trashcans on the train platform. Convenience stores also have trashcans in front of and/or in the store that customers are welcome to use.
Convenience stores nearly all have trashcans in my experience. I guess maybe not a street vendor? But, in most cases, what you buy is going to come in some bag that you can use or, in the case of certain parks, will actually have trashcans. I do live in Japan, but rural northern Japan as of a few months ago.

I got not long after they stopped DVDs and the selection plummeted in the areas I was interested (a lot of niche films and foreign films for language practice, so not super common). Have not regretted it.
