Every time someone removes someone from an online space and cites them being "weird," I'm immediately put off because it feels like they're saying I'm not welcome, either. I know it's not about me, but I can't help but immediately feel like it's only inevitable that I'm removed, too.

Every now and then, I am reminded of an event from 2016 - a bunch of people in the local poly community gathered together to watch the Trump vs Clinton debates.

After the debate, I got into a... let's say "heated discussion" with a friend of a friend about how my desire to take care of my mother was holding me down, and how I needed to read this new eye opening book by this amazing liberal upstart...

Well, I missed one of the rare good movies, but I helped some baby cats, so I guess that's okay. We have a new bottle-baby volunteer who just took in some high-risk kittens and they needed someone to drive about 45 minutes away to pick up an incubator for them from someone who had one to donate.

I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here, but if you find newborn kittens whose mom isn't taking care of them, either commit to the work or find someone who knows what they're doing ASAP. I'm not going to say turn them over to someone immediately like they're wildlife, but like... it's a lot of work and a lot of learning, and you've got to be willing.

Success! A fanny pack that fits my Analogue Pocket with the Game Boy Camera on it, or the Pocket and some around-town stuff without the camera. It's normally a little pricey (it's Topo Designs) but REI had it on sale and I had some rewards credit. Now I just need time to get out on my bike and take some pictures...

In practice I'll probably put the Pocket into the neoprene sleeve I got from RetroModding to keep the screen safe, but the bag itself has a little padding so it'd be fine just like this as long as I kept my keys in the outside pocket.
