With only a weekend until the start of the , @codysimpson is undoubtedly preparing for the heats of his life. He'll have a couple of things to look forward to beyond the racing in Brisbane... being officially released on June 18th & a cover shoot + interview of him, set to come out next Friday, the 14th. Hopefully I can read that in full at some point. Nice pics of him in various designer clothes from that shoot. All the best, to you Codes.

Merely 1½ weeks until @codysimpson is off to Brisbane for quite the swim trial ( #AustralianOlympicTrials ) . Was going to repost the video he had a few days ago of him swimming a blazing fast lap with a few bars of "Love's Theme" by Barry White, featuring the Love Unlimited Orchestra playing in the background. But he seems to have taken it down. Instead, noticed his rather simple bio title...

A slower than usual today due to the first day of a cold I likely caught at our hockey league dinner on Thursday. Ended up crossing paths with one of the past season's players while out today. Chatted a bit, but he was in a rush to visit his girlfriend as it's her birthday. I had thought of him about an hour & a half ago, too. Picked up litter from all 3 "vices" today, which, I think is a first. Not pictured: an empty & crumbled pack of cigarettes (or darts, as they're referred to, here).

Hopefully @Bigrigtravels can replace his "Alien tape" on the windshield that helps secure our "eyes on the road", as we've seen the phone fall down several times in the past week or so. The Blue Comet has been taking quite a few hard bumps on the roads he's been on -- so much so, that the on-board safety camera has triggered more in the past few weeks than he's had in his seventeen years of driving. I would agree with him that a recent software upgrade has maybe made the system too sensitive.

Today is the 1st of 3 days for the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s ( ) 72-hour International Roadcheck commercial motor vehicle inspection & enforcement

This means weigh stations, provincial/state transportation officials, & law enforcement are increasing their inspection of commercial vehicles & drivers on North American roadways. @Bigrigtravels has been reminding us of this "safety blitz" for several days. Wonder if he's ever gotten a CVSA decal?

A one-sided verbal altercation took place on the @Bigrigtravels stream a little over an hour ago (12:24 EDT) after Steve raised his voice to (hopefully) allow the driver in front of him to hear him over the engine noise. That was not how the other driver perceived it.

With about one month to go before the , @codysimpson is nearly in the homestretch to make the trek to Brisbane. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear less from him over the coming weeks as he perhaps gets "sequestered", to some degree. But, based on how active he was prior to Commonwealth, there's no guarantee about that happening.

Had to do an emergency glue transfer into, of all things, an empty and clean Arby's Sauce bottle after the original, half-full bottle of glue cracked around and centre and began to leak. Used a putty knife to move it over. If I didn't, the remaining glue would likely dry and set inside the old bottle due to being exposed to regular air, for prolonged periods (ie: whenever I might need some next). I estimate the glue bottle is 10-15 years old, so the plastic had degraded.

Due to consolidation in the Canadian grocery market in the past few decades, too much power is in the hands of a few large corporations and they are putting profit and shareholder dividends ahead of providing the basic needs of customers who have struggled to afford a basic human right: food.
I will also avoid visiting all Loblaws-owned outlets in the month of May.

Well... I had a whilst half awake this morning. It was just a single image of him next to a small paragraph of text. In the photo, we see Justin looking to his right from the collar, up, as he's wearing a peach-coloured pull over hoodie. Justin is nearly freshly shaven as he has, what I would term to be a confidently-confused expression on his face, where his mouth is slightly open with his teeth clenched together. He stands in front of a beige-coloured wall, while on the move...

Almost a 2 #Timmies/ m² (on @saskboy 's scale) in one area during the plog today.
Found a few of these thin plastic strips, which are from the tar lines on asphalt shingles. They easily get caught in the wind and blow away. Often find them wrapped around tall grasses. Can they not use paper strips instead? #PlasticPollution #PlasticPollutionTreaty

Got my first-ever ink today. Thought having at least one of their hourglass shaped bottles would be a nice addition to the collection. Read the image description for more details on the bottle and it's function.
This ink is named​ "Shocking Blue (#5)", after the Dutch rock band of the same name, which had a few hits, including "Venus". Also a first getting an ink named after a music group, so it added to the appeal. It is a nice deep blue with some red sheen.

Had another music-related vision last night -- this time I found myself chatting with two K-Pop singers. This is certainly a first time for me to have a vision such as that, especially considering I don't listen to . I'm not even sure whom these guys were. Both were​ seated together in the leather recliner in my living room which was a bit of a tight squeeze for them. They were both pretty slim so they could actually pull it off relatively well.

A fair degree of insight here from Sloan about someone I hadn't heard much about over the years of following Justin. There's quite a few of these "handlers" around, with their primary purpose to keep people "in-line" and under control. It's all part of the webs of abuse so many get caught up in via these circles. Hopefully with a little more time as things evolve, Justin can get himself out of it -- at last.

This example relating to the #SeanCombs "situation" is a great​ breakdown of how ridiculous, overly broad Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) are used to keep people silent.
Especially find the lengths of times included laughable. Surprised neither Jesse or David mentioned how the specific times quoted from an actual 2022 NDA are the same as some #copyright terms have (illegitimately) expanded to.

Yeah, don't worry about trying to get pics and vids of yourself during training, @CodySimpson -- it's less about doing it for the cameras or for the glamour of it. As long as you can record some stories or talk about them after this extreme phase of your life has concluded, that will be more than enough. We have our final home game of the season coming up tonight as this rough year nears its conclusion next week with two away games. Will be interesting to see what happens at the one on Sunday -- or even if it might get postponed due to a possible major winter storm that could impact us then. Probably not, but too early to tell right now. Whenever it ends up happening, it'll be against two of our former top players, so is very much anticipated.

Thank you to @codysimpson for another brief glimpse into what you've been enduring in the run-up to the Australian Olympic Trials taking place in less than four months from now.
