Hopefully @Bigrigtravels can replace his "Alien tape" on the windshield that helps secure our "eyes on the road", as we've seen the phone fall down several times in the past week or so. The Blue Comet has been taking quite a few hard bumps on the roads he's been on -- so much so, that the on-board safety camera has triggered more in the past few weeks than he's had in his seventeen years of driving. I would agree with him that a recent software upgrade has maybe made the system too sensitive.
Thank you to @Bigrigtravels for putting some fresh Alien Tape (as seen on TV) on the streaming phone. Just so he's aware: the "Snowman" image is not updating every fifteen seconds, at this point. Last snapshot right now is from 22 minutes ago.
@Bigrigtravels yeah, it seems like you need to setup a rule/whitelist to allow your app (ip addresses/ports) to upload the Snowman images to your FTP server.
You did specifically say at 08:45 yesterday morning that the bonding service shouldn't have been on. Based on my observations, it was, which is why I commented.
A one-sided verbal altercation took place on the @Bigrigtravels stream a little over an hour ago (12:24 EDT) after Steve raised his voice to (hopefully) allow the driver in front of him to hear him over the engine noise. That was not how the other driver perceived it.
Interesting. Just saw this hydrogen bus for sale. Not sure they'll get what they're asking as hydrogen embrittlement (google that if you dare) means it'll need a new fuel cell system to be safe enough to be road legal, and then... where do you refill it? 🤔
@KiwiEV very interesting to learn a few things about hydrogen embrittlement. Wasn't aware of this phenomena. Another reason why hydrogen isn't a viable, long-term solution, at least, presently.
@pabloniusmonk my 10$ FB sticker pack "purchase" in 2007 was perhaps used to cover the cost of the captain's chair on that super yacht. Least I know where the contribution went...
Many older men like to believe they are rational thinkers first and foremost; not slaves to emotional outbursts.
But all you gotta do to disprove that theory is chuck a pic like this on their social media feed. 🤣
With about one month to go before the #AustralianOlympicTrials, @codysimpson is nearly in the homestretch to make the trek to Brisbane. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear less from him over the coming weeks as he perhaps gets "sequestered", to some degree. But, based on how active he was prior to Commonwealth, there's no guarantee about that happening.
Noticed that "The Next Golden Adventure" poem by Nep (which Codes took credit for) was moved to Cody's poetry account (should be Nep's but that one was reallocated for the clothing line). Was going to comment on it a bit. It's a nice one, although the stanza print layout is a little off (due to the printer I would tend to think). Oh well. Keeping with the writing theme... here's another recent pic of Codes -- and one of mine, for good measure, and a change.
Had to do an emergency glue transfer into, of all things, an empty and clean Arby's Sauce bottle after the original, half-full bottle of glue cracked around and centre and began to leak. Used a putty knife to move it over. If I didn't, the remaining glue would likely dry and set inside the old bottle due to being exposed to regular air, for prolonged periods (ie: whenever I might need some next). I estimate the glue bottle is 10-15 years old, so the plastic had degraded.
I drove this Polestar 4 but I can't tell you about it due to an embargo. But I found a cheeky way to get around it: you guys can just fill in the blanks!
The car rides like [REDACTED] due to its [REDACTED] which acts like a [REDACTED] when you [REDACTED].
Get creative! 😂
Dallas moving forward with plan to entice residents to switch from gas-powered lawn tools 🏡🍃 🥕
"Proposal [to outlaw gas-powered mowers & blowers] was scrapped after state legislators passed a law last year that blocks cities from restricting the use, sale or lease of an engine based on its fuel source."
@pabloniusmonk yes, I also made the move to a battery mower six years ago. Looking to transition to an electric-only main vehicle by the second half of 2025.
