I mean there's Reddit ofc, as well as Twitter in its entirety, Discord is implementing some dumb updates, there are issues with Tumblr as well as everything to do with Meta, and I'm sure there are plenty more (and I haven't even touched other digital media, for example the Sims). We see that Twitter was been purposely twisted to be a comfortable space for neo-Nazis. We know spez's politics. It doesn't take much of a leap to conclude that he's killing off the moderator class to make Reddit more friendly for the neo-Nazis. Most likely though that's just a convenient side-effect of unbridled greed, though.
I've gone a full week without Reddit and I'm realizing the sheer amount of time I wasted on that fucking site. I'm taking back control of my time, my mental real estate, and mindfulness. I don't need new content every single waking moment, checking the app multiple times a day. If I check Lemmy every other day, that SHOULD be...
Why YSK this is that some of the soap absorbs into the fruit, especially berries, and let's say you are washing your cherries with dish soap, and you eat them. That story ends with a long bathroom trip as soap makes you a little queasy. ETA: Nobody has heard about this?! I see it in the southeast where I live.
I went to go post a video and it turns out the link is completely dead. trying to manually go to the page seems to just bring up the regular add new link page.
I have been joking to a couple of friends today who were also redditors that I've been feeling withdrawals from reddit throughout the day. Like I knew I was addicted, I just never thought I was going to have to face the consequences of withdrawals!...
This is the thing for me. I think I'm experiencing a bit of news FOMO. Reddit has been reliable for years at supplying news, cat antics, and pretty girls. I also agree that google+reddit has been really useful in solving very specific problems.
This is pretty much my experience. It did a pretty good job with the grunt work of setting up a Qt UI in python, but something like 5/20 imports were wrong.

The front page of Lemmy is the same as it was yesterday, BUT that made me realize that I had an unhealthy addiction to Reddit, refreshing multiple times a day and doomscrolling never ending content
