This post might sound like an advertisement (which it partly is, of course, you don’t try to get published if you don’t want people to read your stuff) but I want to use this post to encourage other new writers....
So my novel takes place in an afterlife and focuses on one major character, as they try to heal from childhood trauma, learn helpful mental health tools, and newly take in this beautiful universe....
Here’s mine. He’s a vigilante hacker in my future L.A. universe. I think this couldn’t describe how he looks in my head better. What does your character look like?
Most people will agree that AI is an impressive writer. In seconds, it spits out text that stuns even skeptics. But there’s a caveat. Two, to be precise....
This is the fourth NaNo event I’ve participated in and my fourth win. I set my goal at 25k words, so just half a real NaNo, but more focused on an area of my writing that I’m severely lacking. The month has helped improve it a bit so that’s been nice. Also pretty happy that I finished a week ahead of time. Maybe for next...
I’m unsure of how many people are explicitly aware of the Bulwer-Lytton contest, but the general idea is people submit introductory one-liner sentences that are meant to be written as poorly as possible, with awards given to the best worst submissions in any year....

I realized while I was making that story prompt generator a while back that what I had really been trying to do is make prompts for multiple people to bounce back and forth and build on together. I’ve also always enjoyed forum roleplay threads over tabletop games with dice and stats and what not, so this is a LOT more freeform...
Heya, I’m still here. Still working on things in the background and been quite busy. Right now the instance server needs some updates and the pictures backend is a little wonky. Gonna take the instance down for a bit presumably sometime tomorrow for some (hopefully) quick spring cleaning.
As almost every readers, I have some favorite authors from which I like to read everything they publish. But I wonder how I can efficiently “follow” their publication. Do you know about a service (free, at least as in free beer, at best from the foss world)which can offer such syndication? I’m thinking about a personalized...
Randomly generates a bunch of concepts for you to connect. It’s not 100% done, I might link it to a character namer later and I can’t figure out how to get the roles to fill, so I just left wildcards in both spots for now.
