I’ve been on Beehaw and Lemmy.world for the past two weeks now and while people seem to be posting content that isn’t about Reddit or Twitter or how great federated platforms are, such content does not receive as many comments/discussion as topics about the Reddit API controversy, or the current Twitter controversy, etc....
on kbin here, but like others said, personally I find fediverse surprisingly active. it's much smaller than reddit, sure, but the discussion is alive for some major subs
well just like you said, maybe it's because lemmy can't keep up with the growing users. if ever they fix it, I might use it primarily, but for now I juggle between those two
dunno, I personally like using kbin, but the last time I was here, lemmy's instance is the more active one. btw, you could access lemmy from kbin and vice versa, if you didn't know
still, kinda surprised how some big subs like android, showerthoughts etc is kinda populated. while it's only a fraction of what they are on reddit, it's still pretty active
Just like what the title say, is there a way to do it in kbin? I find it cumbersome that all comments are expanded. At Lemmy I can shrink/expand comment, but Lemmy is too buggy, so I prefer to use kbin. Thanks
dunno, but this is the main reason I juggle between Lemmy and Kbin. Lemmy is more intuitive/similar to reddit, but it's buggy and has an ugly UI. Kbin has a better UI and less buggy, but has some questionable design
Abortion rights activists were unhappy with the president’s comments, as millions of people are being denied access to abortion care in nearly half the country.
Looking at Fedidb.org the Fediverse Network Statistics, I'm seeing about 98,000 Active users as of the 27th. That's at least 50k new users this month. Welcome to Lemmy, fellow migrants!
lol yeah, some kbin design are just not intuitive. like, why should I scroll to the bottom of the page to post a comment? also there's no button to hide/unhide comment, see parents comment, etc. Lemmy is more similar to reddit, but it has a worse interface and much buggier
oh yeah sure. not saying that the majority will move or care (hell, most probably doesn't get affected directly), but it's nice to have another hangout. also, everything got to start somewhere right?

Do you feel that there's a lack of discussion on Lemmy on stuff besides the current Reddit and Twitter controversies?
