Welcome, everyone, to the Southeastern Conference home in KBin! This magazine is for news, talk, and anything relating to the teams in this conference. I had football in mind when I started this, but feel free to discuss any sport here....

Hey! mfzachary here. I’m into music. Like really into music. I’m into games (mostly simulators at the moment, but I like shooters and rpg’s). I also enjoy a bit of reading from time to time. Learning more about the stock market right now, which is about as fun as it sounds. I don’t really get into politics much, which makes me feel a bit weird living in the South where everyone seems to have an opinion (and it’s always the same).
Happy to have found something to take the place of my Reddit browsing.
I have no idea why I keep coming back to this, but I’ve been playing Farm Simulator a lot lately lol. The next game on my recently played list is Sea of Thieves, and Elder Scrolls online.
Got a backbone controller for my iPhone recently so I’ve been playing a lot on mobile.
I apologize if this has already been covered, but I’ve seen a lot of people talking about a need for a kbin app. While I agree that a native app would be nice to have eventually, I figured that quite a few people probably aren’t aware of how web apps work. I don’t use Android, so I have no idea if there is an equivalent...
The only issue I have with a web app of KBin so far has been that it’s impossible to see if my command went through and is working or not.
Just had this happen… typed a comment in then pressed the Add Comment button. Nothing. Wait a few seconds, press it again. Nothing. Can’t find a way to refresh in the web app. Close, re-open. Log back in. Comment not posted.
Over time I know the kinks will be worked out, just pointing out an issue I’ve had.
I was initially introduced to Mastodon a few years ago by a close friend and picked up on it quickly given the benefits of not having to deal with advertising, or being shown what a mega-corporation thought I should have to see through algorithms. I have since found a great instance over on cupoftea.social that promotes quality...
Just want to say thanks for coming by. Feel free to discuss or post anything Apple Watch related. Content about your watch, watchOS, bands, protectors, etc is all welcome.
Just want to let new Kbin people know that it's possible to set your page up to resemble Reddit slightly. On the right hand side, there is a gear icon. Click the icon and that will allow you to change the way that the page looks for you. There you can add the top bar, see user avatars, etc. It's not an exact clone, but you can make it look a lot like old.reddit.
Just wanted to throw that out there for newbs here like myself.
This question is especially for people who have joined in the last week. Have you used other fediverse platforms or is this your first time really using one? What do you think of it so far? Are you aware that you can comment on Lemmy posts with a Mastodon account?
I've used Mastodon briefly for about 4 months or so. Decided to give Kbin a try after seeing it in the comments on Reddit, so here I am. Still trying to get the hang of the UI here, but it's looking like a promising platform to move to after giving up on Reddit. Looking forward to growing an account here. Would love to see a Kbin mobile app come along someday.
I’m more upset about losing Apollo than anything. That app was the best thing to happen to the Reddit experience for me, and losing it will be weird for a while.
Haven’t been on KBin too long, but I’m glad to have found it.
Reddit Is Fun was the only way I browsed Reddit on mobile. The mobile app is crap and doesn't actually properly load posts. I get down a few scrolls and it ends like there isn't anything else to view.
Quick message.

What games are you playing?
What games are you playing? What's your style?
To Ultra or not to Ultra?
I’ve been interested in the Ultra since its release, but haven’t actually decided to get one yet....
For iOS users looking for an app, there is a quick and easy solution

I don't want to live in a country where Trump could be held accountable (www.usatoday.com)
Are we really the kind of county that allows 'evidence' to go before a 'grand jury' then lets that grand jury 'vote to indict' a former president?
OC How did you end up finding kbin? Did you migrate here from Reddit?

Is Lemmy your first time on the Fediverse?

OC What are some of your most frequently visited websites?
Aside from (formerly) Reddit and (now) kbin, what are some of your favorite go-to websites, whether for information, wasting time, etc?
for the Reddit refugees, do you also feel a bit heartbroken?
For me it feels like breaking up with someone after many years. At the same time, I feel a bit dirty mentioning the name in the post title.
Maddening. Fuck you Reddit! (lemmy.world)
