Crazy weird scam like email from store-news @ amazon dot com thanking me for purchasing three different gift cards I did not purchase

Figured it was a scam phishing email, but it came from an actual legitimate amazon email address. Check the Amazon message center, and lo and behold they were there too. My Amazon transaction page doesn't show any transactions but the ones I'm already aware of, and there's been no temp charge holds for any Amazon transactions I'm not aware of, but been on hold for about 5 minutes waiting to talk to someone at Amazon. I figure if this happened to me I can't be the only one. Whoooboy this is not good.
