I caught a hell of a cold two weeks ago and it seems to have passed except for this Niagara Falls tier runny nose. I’ve succumbed to desperation and have just been walking around with a nose tampon. Lemmy, how do you treat your runny nose??

YouTube wants me to watch a 4m30s ad for middle-aged men who want to stay healthy. I won’t watch it. Hence, it never goes away....

I have accounts on various Reddit alternatives and have also had accounts on now-defunct sites. However, none have exhibited the same level of negativity as Lemmy.

For example, I remember the time when American Idiot by Green Day came out in 2004. The song “Wake Me Up When September Ends” was everywhere on the radio. The song is about the death of the vocalist’s father dying when he was age 10....

I don’t know if others are experiencing a similar situation. My all feed is very sparse with engagement. If I sort top six hours or by top 12 most posts have between 5-10 comments. I feel like there was more in the past? Is engagement dropping off? I’m on lemmy.world as my instance.

I feel like it’s a common script that most good companies eventually fall to short term focused management types who are happy to shred the company as long as they get their golden parachute....

Things in the broad sense of software, games, books, websites, music, etc. Obscure relative to both what’s widely discussed on social media but also what you see here pretty often (i.e. Linux/Fediverse stuff).

May be an incident where they could not understand how much things they take for granted cost to the normies, a flagrant disregard for morals or ethics, a blatant show of arrogance or disconnectedness, or anything yould like to share.

I am Brazilian, so they are really common, and wild, people drink piss, shave peoples hair, ruin people’s clothes, get drunk, and once a person even died, how are they, if they exist in you country?
