The BBC says it’s to divert more funding into digital. #NUJ - the journalists' trade #union ,- says it will diminish local radio.

@fulelo That's too bad. Good journalists teach the present as historians teach the past. Without them, our understanding of the world is diminished. Solid, detailed and original news reporting is being replaced everywhere with entertainment, propaganda and the parroting back of stories taken from organizations that still employ actual journalists. We end with only one story from a single viewpoint or none, as huge parts of the world are ignored. It's awful.
