A fantastic word I discovered which certainly comes in handy during bjj is Proprioception, which is the bodys mysterious ability to locate its own limbs even in complete darkness. #bjj
Learned today that I was reading my weight tables for the local #bjj tourneys wrong and as of Monday or thereabouts, I've officially made weight for the tournament I hope to compete in come October 14th.
This is a big one for me because, even though it's a small championship, it's the same event as my very first tournament a year ago. Excited to step out on those mats again.
Gonna get some extra drill/roll time in today with some of the folks at the gym who'd like to compete. I'm trying to get as much mat time in as I can before I start another round of traveling.
I doubt I'll be able to train while I'm on the road. That's probably gonna be good for my injuries, though.
Holiday open mats are the best. Rode the #xr150 on a 60 mile round trip down a rural highway to get to the gym and left a few pounds of sweat on the mats. #nogi#bjj is my favorite for sure. It was good to see the crew again after a week away. Happy Tuesday, y'all!
